Since a young age, the central theme in my life has been health, healing & wellness. Being confronted with health complications as a young child motivated a deep exploration of health & healing and directed me to a lifetime of traveling to the corners of the earth to experience different healing modalities - and eventually, to train in the one I found most profound. Along the way I developed an interest in meditation, holistic health, organic farming and various healing arts such as sound healing, breath work, meditation, awareness practices, movement therapy, energy healing, nature-based shamanic practices, and most importantly, healthy lifestyle. In this pursuit of wellness, I studied Herbal medicine at Pacific Rim College, trained in Cranial Sacral, and spent time with spiritual masters in India & Peru to deepen my knowledge and understanding. In the end, I chose Acupuncture. Acupuncture is a healing technology that has proven effective for thousands of years, more recently it has been shown to stimulate physiological, neurological, biochemical and psychological responses. It forms its basis on the observation of the natural world - which we are very much part of despite the complexity of our modern day world. Finding activation through Acupuncture has been the most rewarding experience as I am constantly astounded by the results it brings. My intention is to create the space to allow the body to actively or passively facilitate healing. When developing treatments, I consider the physical, emotional, intellectual and spiritual components involved. I utilize traditional systems and various modalities to clearly define protocols that produce measurable results. Once we have removed physical dis-ease, intentional manifestations have a supportive foundation to bud out of. I use my training in Classical acupuncture, Trigger point Dry Needling, Scalp acupuncture, Auricular acupuncture, Cupping, Tuina, Gua Sha, Cranial Sacral and advising on food, herbal & lifestyle cures to facilitate balance in my patients and find the most direct route back to their most optimal health. My areas of special interest include gut health, trauma, reproductive issues, mental health, chronic injuries, physical or emotional pain, vitality & inflammatory conditions. I incorporate a lifetime of health and wellness inspired learning, and training in TCM modalities, to understand and interpret the body and encourage my patient to metabolize any past or present obstacles that reside in the body, mind or spirit so we may illuminate their journey back to their most potent self. Together, we create a clear vessel so people may reunite with their health in a way that empowers and inspires them to live their fullest potential.

Helen Rose believes that the most effective work is done slowly. Soft tissue has personality and needs time to accept and respond to manipulation. The intention for each massage therapy treatment is to provide a balanced approach — alternating between intense, focused work on specific sources of discomfort and general rhythmic techniques designed to distract, confuse and soothe the nervous system — encouraging muscles, connective tissues, and the mind to relax and release held tensions.
Her style is best suited to those who prefer a firmer therapeutic touch — expect your tissues to be challenged!
Sensitive to the ways in which systemic oppression, exclusion, and marginalization impact the physical wellness of individuals, Helen Rose practices from an intersectional feminist, sex and body positive, anti-oppressive, queer and trans allied, class-conscious position that is welcoming of all.
She completed her training in Ontario at Sutherland-Chan School of Massage Therapy in 2010, and is continuously motivated by the opportunity to affect positive change and contribute to the wellbeing of her clients. Registered with the College of Complementary Health Professionals of BC.

Hi, I’m Maggie RMT, thank you for reading my bio!
Not currently accepting new ICBC or Work Safe claims.
It’s my belief that massage therapy can be modified to be safe and healing for everyone and my style reflects that. A key concept of my practice is adapting to what you want and need as a client. Are you here to rehab an injury? Maintain your mobility and strength as a senior? Get relief to help manage a chronic pain condition? Calm your nervous system and fight off burn out? Each person’s goals are different and so should their massage therapy treatments.
I tend to use a combination of PNF stretching, gentle joint distraction, fascial techniques, trigger point approximation, and honestly a lot more. I’ve been developing my use of dermoneuromodulation (DNM) over the last year as well for trickier chronic pain conditions.
Most of my practicums in school involved complex medical needs and focused on how to keep people safe while providing an effective treatment. I participated in many outreaches to hospice facilities, long term care hospitals, and day programs for seniors and adults with developmental disabilities. Since graduating I’ve made an effort to keep up those skills and regularly make visits to assisted living facilities to work with those people whose health keeps them from making it into the clinic. I have experience working with clients who are paraplegic, have parkinsons, rheumatoid arthritis, heart problems, and more.
If you have any questions then please don’t hesitate to reach out by email or phone and I’m more than happy to have a chat and answer your questions. I’ll be so happy to meet you and work with you to find a style of massage therapy that helps you reach your goals!

Laura graduated in 2019 from the West Coast College of Massage Therapy in Victoria. Originally from Quebec, she moved here in 2013 from St. John’s, Newfoundland with a degree in fish physiology. After sustaining an injury and seeking massage therapy for the 1st time, she realized how incredible this modality was.
In her practice Laura uses deep tissue techniques, muscle stripping, trigger point release and active release when needed. She combines the deep tissue with myofascial, joint mobilizations, rocking and muscle energy techniques.
Outside and at work Laura can be found with her Irish Wolfhound Zeus, often in the Beaver Lodge Lands or camping on one of the surrounding islands.
